Best Credit Card to Fund Your Adventure Based Business

A lot of adventure based businesses start with a passion for the fun stuff—kayaking, surfing, hiking etc. We started our business with no start up capital except about $2000 taken from my retirement account as a loan. And, we like to think we did pretty well with that.
However, there were definitely times when having access to credit would have really helped, especially in those early days. I had this idea that credit was bad and I didn’t even try to search it out.
My mind has completely changed about this. Sometimes, cash flow is tight and a business needs a little bit of credit to keep going. A lot of adventure based businesses are seasonal and a little bit of credit will help get through the slow times.
As our business has grown, I have adamant about using credit cards (responsibly!) for our business purchases. I put everything on the business card and pay it off each month. This allows us to keep better track of our spending; frees up capital for other needs; and offers so many other benefits.
Not to mention, a lot of business cards offer travel rewards or cash back for an extra bonus.
I highly recommend looking into getting a credit card for your business. Even if you are just getting started and don’t have a lot of revenue, these credit cards can be great for helping you move forward.
The best card that we have used for our business is the Chase Preferred Ink for Business. There are just so many perks to this card. Take a look below and if you decide it is for your business—-please apply using my link (it is an affiliate link so I will get a few points from Chase).
Why not get rewarded for your advertising spend, your insurance payments and your equipment? Use the points to either spend toward your business or treat yourself to a well deserved vacation.
Chase Preferred Ink for Business
Not only do you get an 80,000 Chase reward points (worth over $1000 in travel) for meeting a minimum spend of $5000 in three months, the card also gives:
3X points for things that we normally pay for in our business including travel, shipping, online advertising (Facebook, Google and Bing ads), and internet, phone and cable. We do a lot of Google Ads so this is ideal for us. In just a month of ad spend, we earn enough points to get free hotel rooms or deals on flights. (And, we love to travel so this is a great perk.)
Other benefits include: purchase protection, auto rental collision damage waivers, extended warranty protection and lost luggage protection. All great perks if you travel for your business.
I highly recommend checking it out. It is a great card and will really support your business (and your personal) goals!
Let me know if you have any questions about it or anything to help move your business forward!
